08/28/2017 - Defining God

The god that can be named is not the true god. God is undefinable. If the definition of god doesn't include all things and all variations and all possibilities, then it's not the true definition. In your attempts to define god, you are seeing your own separation from god. You will see yourself in a world separate from god, apart from god. In the very act of looking for god, you start with the premise in mind that you are not god, and you are going to look outside of yourself for god. While you believe that you are separate from god, you think that you can be hurt. You think that you can die, or lose something. Only a body can be hurt in this way. You can only have guilt if you have an identity that relies on being a body. Only a body can hurt other bodies, or kill or be killed by other bodies. Those who can only see the others around them as being bodies, will believe that those bodies must be protected. For they will conclude that when the body dies, so too does the individual that resides therein. And they will craft a morality around preservation of those bodies, and they will shame anyone who defies that morality. But if you are more than the body, then there is nothing that can be hurt. A morality built around the identity of the body is meaningless, and so too is the guilt that comes from that morality. How can we experience God? To have an experience of god, you must get closer to the understanding of god. To come to a complete understanding god, would mean to leave the identity of this body behind. So people may avoid knowing god, because they don't want to lose themselves. But you shouldn't be afraid of death, you shouldn't be afraid of loss, or failure. There is no body to be hurt. I am eternal and nothing can stop me, nothing can hurt me. When we were young, learning fear was useful to us. it protected this body and kept it in this world, so that we could continue having this experience. It was useful. But is fear still useful to us now? Is it still serving us? It is helpful to reexamine our beliefs from time to time to see if they are still service our highest good. We are here in the physical world because we are holding on to some resistance. As we let go of each resistance, we become more purified. If this is taken far enough then we will awaken from this dream. This is the goal, and the ultimate fate of all people. But we should also remember that we wanted to be in this dream. it is not a punishment. it is a voluntary experience. we chose to be her to have this experience, and the purpose of our existence in this sphere is to work through this experience. We are constantly in a flow, changing, growing, experiencing, and becoming. We have all eternity to experience this processes, and so there is no rush. There is no need to feel frustrated that we haven't emerged from the dream yet, because it happens at the pace we desire it to. There is no chance that we can fail to fulfill our end goal of becoming one with god, because it is inevitable. We are here of our own volition, we are the embodiment of the will of god, and we are unstoppable in achieving the purpose for which we came here. Fear not, and embrace the experience for which you came here to receive.
